so if yall don’t know i live in the middle of nowhere and its my moms bday soonish so she decided we were gonna take a trip to new york. this post also serves as a reminder that its ok to be comfortable instead of fashionable sometimes because nobody wears a nice outfit to the airport unless they have somewhere to be directly after, and people don’t really notice when u decide to not wear a cool outfit.
my skin has also been shit lately and nobody has said anything. most of the things you overthink in the mirror nobody cares about. anyways, new york!
day 1 i looked like a grandma and we went to soho. it was pretty fun, i went to edikted for the first time and got some stuff, i also went to trash and vaudeville and holy shit i love it there. for food we got a new york slice (6/10 ehhh) we went to ivanramen (chicken paitan was 10/10), got taiyaki (probably would get a diff flavor but altogether 8/10), and ended the day with pretty in pink (7/10).
day 2 i wore a dress older than sliced bread and we went to FIT and koreatown, got a ton of makeup and skincare, realized where im going after college (fashion school), saw six on broadway (i will post about this later but 10/10) and went impromptu ice skating at rockefeller center. for food we got pastis for lunch (7/10 ok cheese but i still had cheese for lunch), hello kitty cotton candy (7/10 avg cotton candy) lin and daughters dumplings for dinner (10/10 the BEST dumplings like ever), and magnolia cupcakes (4/10 not as good as when i was younger, must’ve changed their recipe since 2013).
day 3 i wore pants for the first time since like last year, and we went to the met!! got a lot of inspo for outfits and things to sew , and then we went to the korean spa. for food we got pizza from eataly (7/10), and sushi from tokugawa (5/10 i didnt like it that much)
day 4 i wore something that reminded me of my chemical romance’s 3 cheers for sweet revenge album cover and we went all over new york. we went to 5th avenue and bergdorf goodman and as soon as we saw the prices for everything there we walked out, then vivienne westwood and i got earrings there!! with money i earned!! from a job!!! im still low-key freaking out over them.after that we went to the american girl store because i am still a child and went to mood for fabric for a dress i designed. we went to veeray da dhaba for lunch (11/10 the saag paneer was so good), han bat for dinner (8/10 yummy tteokbokki and they had sik-hye but my mom said bibimbap was mediocre), and heuk hwa dang for bingsu (10/10, but so big me and my mom together could only eat half of it, still amazing though).
ive been taking a lot of photos on my digital camera from when i was younger.
here are some that i took on my phone instead because idk how to get them to go onto my laptop.
and lastly, the playlist i made for new york.
